Hi and welcome to May, this month's theme is:

Compassion

You and I could use some compassion in the world today. This month as we go about our lives let us show compassion to ourselves and others around us. Compassion is defined as a deep awareness of another's suffering coupled with the urgent desire to alleviate it. Jesus demonstrated it when He noticed the multitudes who had been with Him were probably hungry and thirsty and He went on to provide a solution for the issues they were facing.

Matthew 9:36

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

In the Book of Job, after Job faces insurmountable trouble such as loss of wealth and loss of his children, his friends come and just sit by him for a number of days not really saying anything. Sometimes compassion can look like sitting next to someone suffering, sometimes it takes deliberate action.

This month take time just as I will to show compassion to those in need. Reply to the email and let me know how you give and receive compassion. God be with you!

Love,

Christine Consuela
